Adriene went to school to be a CNA or Certified nursing assitant. She wanted to get a job in a nursing home. She has since taken her state test and passed with flying colors and has gotten a job. :-)
Shortly after she arrived she was not feeling well one day so we found a doctor. Long story short, she needed surgery. So today I took her to the hospital and saw her to surgical waiting...while I went to the "waiting room" near by. Hey they had coffee, cookies and a TV there. The staff called the waiting room to say she was out of surgery and in recovery,,,her doctor stoped by the waiting room to say hi and say all was well,,,then called 30 mins later to say she was returning to same day surgery unit. So I ran down to meet. The doctor stoped by one last time to check up on her.
As I write this Adriene is sleepy watching me write. Thought she would be in more pain, but she is doing fine. :-)
I have had 2 surgeries and never saw the doctor after.
We ran down to Destin, FL for a few days after Adriene's surgery. I think the sun and salt wanter did a world of good.
Came to find out Joe put together a wedding in 24 hours. So he was Married to Han yesterday on the beach. How cool is that?! I took as many pictures as I could. Trying to get a copy of every one elses pictures to share etc.
We head home on Sunday morning. Been a great few days to get away, but will be nice to be back in our place.
We are home safe and sound from our FL Trip. Had a great time. The salt water and perfect weather did wonders for us.
Good to be back home in our own bed. We slept till almost noon. We were exausted from our traveling. 7 hour drive with out stops other then gas.
Tomorrow (Tues) Adriene has her follow up with her doctor from the surgery.
Tinker the cat was so happy to see us. She meowed and purred loudly. :-)
We knew that Adriene had Hyperplasia. Common condition. We found
out there was atypia. The doctor basically explained atypia means
the cells themselves are abnormal, they are not cancerous, but
they could become cancerous. We came home and got online to
educate ourselves on what was explained to us. After reading
about 30 web sites they all seem to say that Patients with
endometrial specimens that show atypia have about a 25 percent
likelihood of progressing to carcinoma.(Cancer)
After reading some articals on Hyperplasia it seems several D&C
operations are done, with hormone treatments. The D&C operations
are done to check to see if the hormone treatments have been
effective. "hyperplasia with atypia persists in about 75 percent
of cases after multiple D&Cs and progestin treatment, and up to
15 percent of women with atypia will develop endometrial cancer,
hysterectomy is usually recommended."
http://www.healthywomen.org/UterineHealthGuide/pages/page6i.html
So probably best to cut out multiple D&C operations, which can
increase risk of spreading abnormal cells.
I think a hysterectomy may be best.
Hmmm this is one anatomy lesson I could have done with out. :-)
So now writing out questions to ask the doctor now as well.
In other news today is out last day of vacation.
Back to work for both of us tomorrow. We went out to dinner at OCharlies tonight. I wanted to cook in, but we could not decide what to cook and we were both tired.
Dad is doing well with his cancer treatments and looks promising. Keeping my fingers crossed.
We are both back to work and very busy. Always hard going back to work after being off. Friday was tough, but had a good night tonight even when I was busy.
Gave my team at work my Fokti address so they could see my pictures :-)
Hoping Adrienes next surgery can wait till she has benefits. I know we can not afford any major bills right now. We are getting help with the hospital bills from the D&C.
Tuesday Adriene had a really sore back. We are not sure what has caused it but she stayed home from work and we put ice on her back and used my tens unit on her. Wednesday she went back to work but still really sore. I filled her pain meds for her to take. Only helped a little.
I did talk to her doctor on Wednesday. Asked as many questions as I could. He still thinks we should have another DNC in 90 days instead of doing a hysterectomy. He thinks he may have scraped away all the Atypia during the first D&C. He said with the birthcontrol there may not be a need to do anything else after the second D&C. Not sure what to do. I hate to have that done, then find out we have to put her through the hysterectomy anyway.
I hope Adriene gets her benefits in October, that way at least the surgery costs would be far less then they are now. Dr. Williams is hesitant to do a hysterectomy unless a second D&C came back with the same results.
I asked Dr. Williams about the 25% figure for cancer later on, He said that is more the case with Complex Hyperplasia, then with Simple Hyperplasia. Even if the second test comes back negative, then at some point they will have to test again. That I want to avoid.
Not a lot new here. Bought a professional chiropractic massager online. Been using it to massage Adriene's back. She is still sore but not quite as bad. Friday I am taking her to my chiropractor to be looked at. I know he will have to take some x rays, so hopefully he can tell us whats up.
I bought a new camera, and took some pictures of Adriene, and she took some of me. I want to take lots of pictures for our Fotki site.
It has cooled down quite a lot, so we are going to try to start walking on the greenway again. Hope to get a lot of pictures while things are still green.
Starting to think about Christmas. It will be here all to quickly. Think it would be cool to get tickets to the christmas show again.
Adriene is between jobs again. Her back was in so much pain I took her to my chiropractor to have her looked at. They took X rays and did a exam and asked many many questions. Adriene's back is out of wack but it is fixable. I was worried she had a sliped disk or something.
I found out I can put miss Adriene on my health insurance. So I will be doing that shortly. Once that is finalized she can get her back worked on and get her next surgery.
While Adriene is off and we have a little nice weather left we want to run out for a day on the lake soon.
Well Adriene and I managed to go on a camp out at Center Hill Lake on Davies Island. Was lots of work and fun. Hope to do it again some time. In the morning once we were all packed up we drove up to Burgess falls state park. We were exausted when we go there, so we walked most of the trail to see the falls but did not get to the end. Was a great 2 days. Glad to be home back in our own bed. :-)
Everything has gone well since last entry. Adriene has been job hunting and has found a possible job.
I had her going to the chriropractor but it was too expensive right now, but will start her up again soon when she is working and can help out with the expense.
Joe and Han came to visit for a few days. We took them to the Opryland Hotel on Monday 10/8. I love going there.
Dads cancer treatments seem to be going ok, but we still have a long way to go.
Holidays around the corner and a lot to accomplish. :-)
Since her D&C Miss Adriene has been having back problems. Been to the chiropractor and then to my MD. Seems she may have had a Kidney infection causing a lot of the lower back pain. Taking meds for that now.
Miss A has been looking for work, but has not landed anything. I think she should temp for a few months while looking for something steady. (Thats what I did when I came here)
We have been given a proposal for January to care for someone for a few days. Adriene would use her CNA skills and make some money to boot. :-) After that I think we will start more long term plans.
My work has been off the hook busy and just lots to do with holidays etc.
Today is Thanksgiving. Yipee!
Well quick update. We went to see the Radio City Christmas show up here in Nashville. Just love the Christmas show.
Yesterday we braved the pouring rain and went to the Opryland Hotel to take pictures of all the decorations. So cool.
Adriene's back is feeling a little bit better. I think her back hurt more after the chiropractor the last time then before. So we are gonna take a short break till after the new year. We have some other options I may persue after the holidays.
We have talked a lot about surgery. Tentatively Scheduled in Feb. Although we may move it up sooner since another opportunity we thought we were gonna have in Jan seems to have been cancelled.
Work has been crazy. Need to make a move and go elsewhere. Hope after surgery Adriene can get a job even if part time. Will be good to get her working again and building her skills.
Gonna go hug a teddy bear now. Bye!
On Adriene's Birthday 1/23 I proposed, and gave her the ring she had her eye on. We stayed at the Opryland Hotel 1/22 & 1/23. We had a great time.
Adriene has been working at the hotel in uniform issue for 3 weeks. Since she gets lots of discounts we were able to do many fun things.
Now Adriene and I have been kicking around various Ideas for when we
want to get married and what we will do.
Best thing is, everything we do, will be how you say, non traditional. :)
Our first thought was getting married at Center Hill..maybe on Davies
Island. But lately thinking more along the lines of Getting married on
the Delta Boat ride at Opryland....by the water falls.
We have a few things to check out first to see if they would allow us to
do this. If not we have a few other things we can do. Just thought it
would be great fun. Love those water falls. Well once we have some
answers to a few of our logistical and technical questions we will settle
on the final date.
Hard to say what our work status will be in the future so don’t want to
make plans unless we are fairly certain we can make it all work.
We do have a lot of What if’s in mind. Dad is doing his chemo. What if
He is not doing well? Adriene’s Grandmother is going to be 90 soon. She
Would like to attend if and when we get married.
Adriene is not much of a girly girl so she is easy to get along with. She does not have
Expensive tastes. So we will be able to work with budget.
We don’t want to plan to fail. We have talked about a great many things
Along the what if lines.
Adriene's hysterectomy has been moved to April. For various reasons. She askes for everyones prayers as she heads twards that. More on that issue as information becomes available....Gonna hug my future wife!
Well unexpected twist, Adriene is going to see the Doctor on Thursday for a biopsy. So the Hysterectomy is no longer optional, but the biopsy will determine if surgery should be done immediatly or if it can still wait till April when we originally planned it.
It's always something, if its not one thing its another........
Adriene got up this morning and said she had an errand to run. So she left the house. I had a few of my own. I sent her a text to ask if shed like to meet me at the bagel shop. She called back and said Im talking to the wedding planner at Opryland. I had no idea she was going to do that today.
So we have tentatively set our wedding date to 7/14/08 (Monday) My birthday. Now we are trying to find out whom would be able to make it on that date before we put down our deposit. We want just immediate family and a few close friends to attend. The area we picked can only hold 25 people. So with that in mind we are off to the races.
Now we have just a few small things to check up on, like our work schedules. Dont think it will be a problem...but ya never know. We are not taking a long time off work to have a fancy honeymoon...but I do hope we have a few days as newlyweds before we go back to work.
If no unforseen problems arise we will set up for my birthday. If there are complications we will set up for plan B or is it C?
Here is the plan. We originally wanted to get married ON the delta boat. We were told they no longer do weddings on the boat. (guess some one fell over board) So we will have it on the landing closest to the water falls on the delta river.
The max people is 25 for room and safety.
After the ceremony we will be allowed to have a river boat send off.
Then for dinner we will head over to The Old Hickory.
More news when it is available.
Chip and Adriene
Well the I's have it. We are proceding with the wedding in July.
So I am pleased to announce the wedding of myself (Chip) to Adriene. We will be married at the Opryland Hotel on July 14, 2008. Adriene will do the one traditional thing and take my last name. Other then that, the wedding is gonna be very non traditional.
Adriene had her biopsy today. Doctor said surgery may be sooner then later, and possibly done abdominally. Will post details if and when they are available.
Well the biopsy came back normal, so the surgery is still scheduled for April. :-)
We are planning out our wedding. So much to do. We have found someone via the internet to be our minister. He has a great online program
http://www.marriagepreparationonline.com/communication/1950-marriage-preparation
More later.
We went to Opryland today to sign our contract for the wedding. We also met Ralph Griggs who will be our minister. We are trying to pick out 3 pieces of music to play. One will be a quick trumpet fanfare, then the music Adriene has picked to walk down the isle with....er down the stairs to the landing, and the fanfare we will play as we are walking to the boat doc.
Too late to back out now. :-)
Adriene has worked hard writing the wedding. She took the planner on the wedding site and wrote out everything that will take place. :-)
Im very impressed with it. So no major worries from now till then. Just a few logistical things. 145 days till the wedding. So close yet so far.
With the contract signed and the minister hired and our room booked, we are ready to go. Have been deciding on music and odds and ends. The rings will be ordered shortly plenty of time for the wedding.
If you have not seen Ralphs web site, check it out. http://www.marriagepreparationonline.com/
We have been watching the videos, and reading the matterials. Going over future plans, and discussed quite a few important things. :-)
I just love this lil bear!
Hugs and kisses
Chip and Adriene.
Early Saturday morning, snowed Friday night, winter storm. We both had to work. Adriene got to stay in the hotel for the night. I was glad the roads were slick and people here dont know how to drive in snow.
129 days till our wedding. We registered at Walmart on their wedding registry. We only wanted a few items, but put on a few dream items also.
I'm proud of Adriene for writing the wedding ceremony. It is very nicely written. We have music picked out and pretty much have talked about every detail.
I have written a basic prenup agreement. Not really needed. But I read we can keep creditors away by putting writing we can not inherit each others past or future dept.
Many of you may be wondering if I support Adriene's decision to have a Hysterectomy at such a young age she is only 30yrs old. Yes I support all that Adriene does we have discussed this and we both feel that it is necessary for her to get this done now. I love her bunches and I know that she would make a great mother but I also have seen her in a lot of pain, and know her thoughts and feelings about kids. I love her bunches lots of bunches and we will make a happy family with just us and the cat.
Love you little Bear!
Chip
Ya know mom and dad have a condo in Destin FL that they rent out when they are not there.
Check it out.
http://www.vrbo.com/109142
as you can see in my Destin Album it is beach front.
A few years ago Hurricane Ivan came through and damaged the condo and everything around it. It was a finantial mess for a long time, they are just starting to recover from that. Lost a years rent on one storm. If you want a place to rent, they do have some of the best prices for renting out the condo compared to every one else.
Today is 4/6/08. 99 days till the wedding.
So excited.
Adriene had her surgery today. She is doing fine. I hope to have her home on Friday. 89 days till our wedding.
I spent the night in the hospital. Adriene is doing very well. They should have her out of bed and walking around today. Hope to have her home tomorrow.
Miss Adriene is home. So glad to have her home at last. Surgery went well. I worked with her yesterday to get her out of bed and walking around. Then got her up this morning on her feet so the doctor would see she was ready to leave.
We are going to take it easy tomorrow.
Staff at the hospital were excellent. Hugs to them all.
87 days till the wedding.
68 days till wedding. Miss A is taking a few extra days off of work to heal from her recient surgery. We are excited cant wait till the big day arrives!
Gonna hug my future wife now-)
67 days till the wedding. Adriene went back to work for a few days but was too sore. Had to take some more medical leave. We are trying to get a final head count for the wedding.
The reception will be simple. Any one who is hungry can eat. I will be picking up the tab for dinner. Decided it would be cheaper this way instead of having a per plate cost. The Old Hickory restaurant is perfect place to have the wedding dinner you will see why when yall get there if you have not figured it out yet.
and counting. Trying to get a final head count.
We keep going over the wedding plan. Been talking about how to make it more unique. We have something fun planned and I hope you all enjoy it. (It is a secret you will have to find out on the wedding day).
We wanted to plan and do our own thing. We are paying for this ourselves. We have several unique things planned. Wanted to be creative and completely non traditional, but to the point all the same. We are thinking out side the box.....Will be a must see.
Today is 50 days. We still have a few details to get to but pretty much ready for the wedding.
Tomorrow is memorial day. I get to have the day off. So gonna do a few chores...and I bet there will be fireworks going off all over, so we will sit on the porch and watch. :-)
Well, Folks we have 45 days to go...we are working on music. Adriene is working on Dinner reservations. If you have not already confirmed we would apprectate it. Adriene has worked so hard on all the logistical stuff I am so proud of her. This week she will get with the Old Hickory manager to finish the plans. More details on that later. I love My Adriene bear so much! she took this bull by the horns and has planned an awesome wedding. Love ya ltl bear!
Ok today Adriene and I were on our way to Walmart in the truck. Steam started coming out, so at Walmart got some coolent, shopped a bit and drove to nappa auto Mechanic. Long story short need a new radiator. Maybe more if the engine block was damaged. So Any one selling a small car?
Also need a few things. A blender, a Portable ice maker, and some pots and pans. Ours have seen better days. (wedding gifts)
Always something I guess. gonna have to crunch the cash for a while so we can still pay for the wedding with this car expense.
Well had another crazy day at work. I work my ass off every day, and now I have to prove it. Guess I will have to reinvent how I do things and just simply CYA.
Summer is here. Been in the 90's last few days. TOO hot too soon.
Counting down till the wedding. Will be odd to offically say Im married. Quite excited!
Keep looking at other pictures on Fotki to get ideas what I can do. So many wonderful pictures out there.
34 Days till the wedding. Working out a few minor details.
Cant wait to say I'm Married.
We are sooooooo excited. We were playing with putting the rings on eachothers fingers. I was so excited to see the wedding band on my finger I didn't want Miss "A" to take it off. :-)
We have 30 days till the wedding. Hope I dont sound like a broken record. One minor detail to finalize at Old Hickory. Adriene got a shawl to go with her dress, so some time in the near future we will take a few more pictures.
As you can guess we have been counting down for some time. Keeps up excited and reminds us we have a few things to do before the big day.
For those who will be at the wedding, as we have said before, this will be totally non traditional. We are going to have a few small surprise twists just to keep it interesting.
We started off ok, but as we had ideas on what we wanted to do...it costs a little here and a little there....next thing we knew.....kind of over budget. So been doing what we can to save money and cut corners elsewhere so the expense wont kill us later. So far so good if nothing else unexpected happens.
When I first moved to TN I set a goal to pay off all credit cards and to establish an emergency fund. Mission accomplished!
Once we are married if we continue to be frugal for a while, in time we will have back what we spent. Next year I am keeping my eyes open for a Hybrid car...but with the changing technology....who knows what will be available.
I owe I owe....so off to work I go.

Almost there. We have everything finalized. Sunday before mom is going to have a brunch for us at the country club. Then we will run up to Opryland and check in and bring in our equipment, decorations etc.
Adriene got her hair permed the other day. Looks so cute.
I had a training class on Friday morning, so I got to come home early. Adriene and I went out to dinner. Took our time talked about our day..was so nice.
For those of you just joining us it is 21 days till our big day! yes we have been counting down for awhile now.
Its gonna be great! Adriene has done most of the planning herself and she has done an awesome job! like we said a few superises that she sort of knows about but not exactly. stay tuned for the finial episode comming to Opryland Resort (hotel) in 21 days! WOOT!
20 days and we are very excited about our wedding. Adriene is all tickled purple (she dont like pink). She is just trying not to get overwelmed by all the attention that she is now getting with co workers telling her what they suggest that she do for her big day. Everyone always has an opinion on what should and should not happen at a wedding well, we are going to be creative so please stay tuned for the finial episode of My wedding to Adriene comming to Opryland Resort and convention center in just 20 days!
Down to the teens. So cool.
Hmm when I was 19 I was in my second year of college. :-)
We went to the county clerk and got the marriage licence. I did not know they were going to want our life story.
18 days to go. So much excitement.
Well 15 days left. I think we have covered everything we need to do. In a few days we will gather up all decorations and supplies etc in one place so it will be ready to load up to take to Opryland Hotel and resort.
Mom has arranged a lunch or brunch on July 13th at the country club. Looking forward to it.
Well folks its almost time for Miss Adriene Needham to become Mrs. Adriene Peruzzi . To be my wife. Seems like yesterday when I was thinking about proposing to her and what to say and when to give her that ring. Now we are days away from saying "I do" forever. Wow time does fly!
For those of you wondering Adriene will get her hair jazzed yup for the wedding on Monday in the morning. she will get it washed and styled. With six days left we are just waiting for the day to arrive. It is all planned out and I believe that Adriene has planned it very nicely. She put so much effort into planning this event. She deserves to be thanked for that. She designed the program, both technical and the guests. She kept track of reservations, I was the finiancial keeper keeping her advised of how much we can and can not spend for this event. It is a wedding on a budget so once we noticed that we had spent a little here and there it added up but we didn't do to bad only a few dollars over budget. (but worth it) .
Five days and we are so so excited to say I do forever. Daddy bear hang in there. Dad looks so bad he has lost most of his color he is all skin and bones his eyes are glossy. Adriene and I just pray that he can make it till after the wedding. We love ya dad.
Well, today is when our out of town guests start comming in. My brother John and his family comming in today, My brother Joe and his family tomorrow, and Adriene's Grandmother on Saturday. Lets all pray for safe travels and on time arrivals because flights have been delayed reciently.
So much excitement! Adriene cant wait to see her Grandmother she has not seen her in at least four years. she is just tickled to be able to see her.
Yes, Adriene is going to change her last name, she is on my team now so it is only right that I give her the Peruzzi last name. She is excited about that as well. She cant wait to be called Adriene Peruzzi.I remember, way back in Jan when I proposed to her she actually went to HR (human resources) at work and asked if she could change her name then. They said you have to be legally married or have some document that says it is ok to change last name. So, she has waited and she will go down to HR on Tues (yes the day after the wedding and change her name and ID) She is so so excited and honored to be able to do that.
Peruzzi is the name wedding is our game. with three days to go till we are married. We will depart our home early due to Adriene's Grandma flying into Nashville today. I texted Adriene yesterday to see if we could get our room a day early she then called me back and said it is ok and that is what we are going to do. We are still going to come back down to Murf. for the Sunday brunch and meet ya all there. Then after that we will mozy back to hotel to get everything in place before our big day.
So much excitement! just hrs away!
We checked in to the hotel today. We gave them specific instructions in January to the wedding planner that we wanted a balcony room in the Magnolia over looking the Delta fountain. When we checked in they told us we were in the Garden Conservatory Bridal Suite. We told them we did not want the suite we wanted a room with a balcony in the Magnolia. Chip made that clear to the VIP check in guy so we finally got our balcony room in the delta atrium on the Magnolia side over looking the fountains like we originally requested. They kept trying to put us in the fancy suite we said no, they looked at us like we were crazy then gave us our room, and we are now staying 2 extra days. We checked in on Saturday a day early So that Adriene could keep an eye on her grandma and know where she is. We are staying till wed morning a day later than expected. So, We can get Adriene's Grandma back to the airport at the crack of dawn on Wed. and then check out of the hotel our selves by wed afternoon.
Adriene woke up early she did not want to over sleep. she is excited about the Wedding ! So much excitement. In some ways we are both ready to say "Lets get this show on the road". We might not be able to sleep tonight because of all the excitement but we will relax and just go with the flow. Adriene's Grandma is excited to meet the rest of my family. Just hours away from an event that will last a life time. We hope to have many years together as husband and wife. We will have many fun and adventurous times as well. I love my Adriene bear! She will be a great wife! welcome to my team Mrs. Adriene Peruzzi!
We woke up all too early today excited about upcoming events. Had our brunch this morning with mom and family. Sadley dad was too ill to come to the brunch.
When we got back to the hotel my friend Mary came for a visit. We took her on a Delta boat ride and she stayed for the fountain show.
We had a light dinner and took a nap. I slept for at least an hour maybe more.
In the morning I will shuttle Adriene over to get her hair styled. After that we will spend some time with Adriene's grand mom before the wedding starts.
Looking forward to putting into action all the plans that we have been making.
Both Adriene and I woke up early. We looked out side on our balcony and noticed that they were setting up a table? we got scarred a bit. but then Chip remembered that we only "rented" the landing for two hours. The conference set up guys are so good and efficient they can set up and tare down stuff in just a minutes time. I am going to take Adriene over to Oprymills for her finial hair doo so she doesnt have to walk across the parking lot. We are just 8 hours away from a life time of happiness. Now my team is complete with Mrs. Adriene Peruzzi as my coach. Welcome aboard! Ahoy captian!
Had a wonderful day. The wedding went very well. Very Happy with it all. Yipee!
Adriene's thoughts day after wedding......
To be a "STAR'S" at Opryland is an awesome thing to be able to cordinate your own wedding. Star stands for Smiles, Attitude, Teamwork, Realibility, and service. Marriage is all about team work. This team is now complete with Chip and I being husband and wife. All "teams" have a name. This team happens to have the last name of Peruzzi. So with great honor I axcept the last name of Peruzzi.
You would have to understand the Opryland values in order to understand why I gave Chip the Squirrel . as a wedding and birthday gift. Discover and Delight.
Over Christmas 2007 I discovered he liked the squirrel that his mom and dad bring out every christmas, he really loves this squirrel. So I was thinking that he needed a squirrel that he could have and see all year round 365 days a year. Hold it , Hug it. so, I delighted him with a similar version of this squirrel that he loves so much.
Adriene has to go back to work on Friday. Today is when she is going to start officially changing all her important doccuments to the Peruzzi last name. Now that we are married she can do that. She is so thrilled to be able to take my last name. and I am very honored to give her that opertunity that she has been always dreaming of.
We are not going on an official honeymoon right now but we do have a few days together now as husband and wife!.
Cant wait to show all my co workers my ring :-) I go back to work Saturday.
I (Chip) go back to work today. Gonna be odd after a week off. I bought a digital photo frame to take to work.
Adriene went to work on Friday and had a rather tough day. She was exausted when she got home.
I owe I owe so off to work I go.
Remember my fair lady? Adriene reminds me of Eliza Dolittle. She has had quite a hard knock life and if finally settling in to something more normal.
She works for the world famous Gaylord Resort and they have wonderful company values. She is learning how to act in what we may consider high society. She has high aspirations and is doing everything she can to move up in the company. Proud of her for working so hard. She may have a few more disappointments but I think the life experience will be priceless.
We both have areas of opportunity and we will work through them together.
Like Chip said I have had a hard life. I think of my self more as little orphan Annie. With the big dog. Where her adopted family really wanted a boy but settled for her instead. and the way I had my hair on my wedding day that shining red curly hair just like little orphan Annie.
I love my husband Chip.he has been teaching me how to live the values at work in order for me to move up within the company so that we can do many fun things.
He has also discovered and delighted me in that the ring was a total superise. We were talking one day about rings and the style that I might like I picked out three differnt ones never thought that he was going to ask me on my birthday to marry him.
Are doing good. Both of us have had a ruff week at work or time since we went back to work been very exhaused. Think that the adrinline rush is over. Adriene would like to go to the Lake before the summer is over and have our "honeymoon" there. Camping for a day or two.
Adriene's grandmother says hi. she wants to come back and see Opryland again. she wishes Adriene the best.
We are starting to clean the house and organize it a bit so we wont be embarrassed if company comes over. Also thinking about front yard plans like widening the driveway.
Is working very hard at trying to get that promotion to another department. She now has the opertunity to shadow someone. She has had a very ruff life and Opryland has been so good to her, it all started with me taking her to the Opry House for the Christmas musical last year, she was looking for a job the light bulb went on. She was going to apply for an usher at the opry house but when she noticed that they did not have that position avaible she applyed for others. She has come a long way in a years time (Since I met her) she has been employed since January.
Yo Adriene! I love you!
Dad passed away early Tuesday morning. Mom called me at 6am I rushed over. Was hard seeing him, but he was at peace. Brothers Joe and John flew in Tues afternoon. Aunt Judy arrived today, several more will arrive tomorrow.
We have visitation on Friday, and memorial service on Saturday.
The journals have not been working.
Mom and family went to Destin to take the yearly vacation. Adriene and I stayed behind. She has taken a lot of time off so could not get any time to go with me to Destin. I have a lot going on at work, and this is just not a good time to get away. We will take a day here and there in Sept, and maybe just the 2 of us might get to run to FL in Nov if the condo is not booked.
We are both off work today. I mowed 2 lawns today so I could have nothing to do tomorrow.
Hurricane Gustav is on land today. FL is getting some rain and Very High tides. Hope someone takes some pictures.
Went to the grave yard to show Adriene where dads ashes were burried. Also I wanted to find the Patton grave stone. I have never seen it before and wanted to know where it was.
A week from today is Christmas day. We will go see a show at Gaylord on Wed Christmas eve.
Mom will be going on a cruise with John and family. We will just do our own thing and watch Christmas lights. :-)
Mom bought us a kitchen table. It is a slate table and will be delivered in 2-4 weeks. Have to get the kitchen cleaned up and ready for the new table.
Wow been a while since I have written anything here. Was on the way to work today and I hear a skid behind me. I look in rear view and see a car coming at me with tires smoking and he is fish tailing all over. I floor it..and hi tail it away from him. He went all over the highway before coming to a complete stop in the middle of the right lane.
He came so close to rear ending me at high speed. Needless to say I kept going. Scared me to death, and I thought for sure he was going to crash into the guard rail and maybe even flip over it he was so out of controll.
Miss Adriene is having back problems. We visited the doctor when Chiropractic stoped working. X rays were taken and we have been refered to a neurosurgeon. The first doctor wont take her insurance, so we are aware of one that will, we hope to get a referal for him. So will update when we have more news.
The journal feature does not always work....but Adriene had back sugery on June 24th. 6.5 hours in surgery. She was a mess. It's August 19th now and she is doing very well. The Scar looks very good. She is still stiff and has post surgery depression. Cant seem to find any one that will help us with out draging it out over months.
We see the surgeon on Aug 20th for a follow up. I dont think A is ready to go back to work just yet. I hope he keeps her on medical leave a tad longer untill we get her some physical therapy.
I hope we can run down to FL for a few days of R and R I think the salt water and change of scenery will do us both good.
